In my current role I have developed (from the ground up) specialist GIS tools giving us competitive advantage when designing and specifying beam coverages of telecommunications satellites. Having achieved this I have been appointed to manage and coordinate missions strategic to the company position on the market.
Spending 3 years in the aerospace industry has allowed me to obtain experience in working up to highest standards during spacecraft procurement, ground systems deployment and flight operations.
As a deployment manager I'd be making sure we are operating smoothly and in accordance with the test planes and procedures. Knowing how to do that well in an is something one learns in the space industry where there is no room for the second try.
Previously my roles revolved around development of web sites and web services mostly using the Java stack. Some of those projects were critical systems of very high complexity and high required availability. I believe this combined experience is sufficient to quickly embrace the responsibilities of Google Apps Deployment Manager and to perform excellently shortly after.
The Deployment Specialist position excites as it presents the opportunity to work with large scale systems and diverse customers. Also the opportunity to travel while working is a very attractive part of the job.
